The Batu Sisi villa offers everything that you could wish for a luxurious yet peaceful holiday. The villa is situated in a most tranquil position at the end of a 'no through' lane on the outskirts of a Hindu village (where there is no mosque to disturb you!) yet is close to the west coast beaches and Senggigi village. The extensive open plan living area, which opens on to the swimming pool, contains many traditional Indonesian artefacts and furnishings, has seating for 10, a dining table and chairs for 8 and satellite TV. There are 3 large air conditioned bedrooms, each with en-suite bathroom. The well tended terraced garden has an abundance of tropical plants and shrubs and an enticing 9mx4mx1.5m deep pool. The shaded gazebo, with its sun loungers and deck chairs, which is adjacent to the pool, is the ideal place to relax and enjoy this tropical paradise. Your stay at the villa will be an experience not to be forgotten - paradise found!
ACCOMMODATION
Bedrooms : Bedroom 1 1.8m (6ft) double bed, en suite and dressing room.
Bedroom 2. 1.6m (5ft 4in) double bed, single bed, (3ft 10in) and en-suite.
Bedroom 3. 1.8m (6ft) double bed, en suite bathroom and shower.
Bathrooms: En-suite for bedroom 1 has bath / shower, WC, bidet and wash basin.
En-suite for bedrooms 2 and 3 have shower, WC, bidet and wash basin.
Outside WC and shower adjacent to pool.
Kitchen: The kitchen has a full European type cooker with gas hob, grill and oven, two fridge/freezers and a water dispenser (hot, normal and chilled water).
Utility Room: There is a washing machine in the maid's utility room.
Living Rooms: The lounge has comfortable seating for 10, many ancient Indonesian artifacts and furnishings, ceiling fans and satellite TV. The dining area has table and chairs for 8 people.
Other: To the rear of the villa there is a 'back' kitchen (which contains the cooker), a utility room with toilet and washing machine and a store room.
Cleaning/towels/
linen/maid service: All linen, towels etc are provided and are washed and replaced, as required, by the maid. There is a gardener / maintenance man on-site daily.

Outside
The villa has a beautiful terraced garden containing many tropical plants and shrubs which is lovingly maintained by the gardener. The private 9mx4mx1.5m deep tiled swimming pool is a joy. The large shaded gazebo, adjacent to the pool, with its sun beds and deck chairs is the ideal place to relax. The gazebo has its own cooking facilities for el fresco living!
Coast/Beach
It is only a short walk to the nearest beaches - a 10 minute stroll - but, if you would like to go further afield, (the entire coast line is fantastic), then you can take the local bus or a taxi, both of which are incredibly affordable! This is a tropical paradise, so the choice is endless.
Travel
Mataram airport is served internationally only by Singapore Airlines, otherwise it is necessary to fly via Jakarta or Bali. Car or scooter hire is readily available from Senggigi, but it is up to you. Taxis and the little mini buses are so cheap that you might decide that vehicle hire is not required.
Distances
The village of Senggigi, which has many restaurants and shops, is about 3km. The only town (Mataram) is about 30 minutes by taxi or minibus. Mataram is the only town that has any sort of western shopping and has a modern shopping mall.
Further details
Lombok, situated about 20 miles SE of Bali, has a population of about 3 million. It is a fascinating island and is said to be what Bali was like 30 years ago. You will find beautiful empty beaches the length of the west and south coasts, wonderful, friendly people, a way of life that you will envy and prices that are amazingly affordable.
Lombok is also famous for its diving and snorkeling - particularly off the Gili Islands - which are well worth a visit for the diving, beaches and atmosphere. |
